Dana Wark: Empowering Learners

ABOUT

Co-creating Knowledge

I am completing my M.S.T. at SUNY Plattsburgh with a focus on inclusive, student-centered classrooms. I believe every child brings unique strengths, and my job is to provide the right scaffolding so they can thrive. My teaching is grounded in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT).

I prioritize student agency — learners co-construct knowledge rather than passively receive it. Empowering students through co-construction and culturally responsive practices creates a foundation for lifelong learning and global citizenship. I am currently seeking opportunities to support Grades 1–6 in the Plattsburgh area and beyond.
